Experience the street as your home

05 Oct 2011

Proud to be part of the Melbourne International Arts Festival, Site UnSeen (6-22 October) is interactive street theatre that offers the audience a unique experience of issues confronting the homeless that has emerged through the St Kilda Inclusion Project.

Presented by the City of Port Phillip, The Port Phillip Community Group, Many Moons group and Sacred Heart Mission, Site UnSeen is “the voicing of the unvoiced, the sight of the unseen, an event-packed exploration of everyday social exclusion with a special focus on homelessness”.  The production portrays the true grit of social exclusion and homelessness using a mix of humour, wit, and fantasy.

Created by art and theatre workers collaborating with the communities of people who have experienced homelessness, Site UnSeen utilizes iconic locations around St Kilda to present the reality of those who are most invisible.

The Department of Planning and Community Development supports SiteUnseen through a Victorian Volunteer Small Grant and the St Kilda Inclusion Project through a Victorian Community Support Grant.
