Caring for places and objects
This information leaflet tells you how Victoria cares for its historic buildings, gardens, shipwrecks and archaeological sites and heritage objects.
It explains briefly the thinking behind our laws for preserving these places and objects. It sets out how we go about deciding what is important and how best to protect it.
This leaflet also gives information about the various government and non-government bodies concerned with the conservation of heritage places and objects.
