Dr Charlotte Smith, Museum Victoria

Dr Charlotte Smith is a Senior Curator at Museum Victoria. Whilst not an archaeologist, she explains what she studied at university, her academic career and how she got to work with historic archaeology collections at the Museum. She also provides a few tips if you are interested in a similar career.

Alison O'Connor, Archaeologist, Terra Culture

Alison o'Connor decided to become an archaeologist when she was about 15.

Alison went to uni to study archaeology. She found volunteering on excavations here and overseas very rewarding, and recommends attending conferences and doing volunteer work to attract the attention of future employers.

Claire St George, Archaeologist, Biosis Research

Claire St George talks about how she became an archaeologist and some of the interesting experiences she had along the way.

Most of her time has been spent in the field in South Australia, but Claire has also worked in Western Australia, remote North West Queensland and more recently in metropolitan Victoria.
