Architects: Leading design by their own example
18 Oct 2011The Robin Boyd Foundation presents Architects: Leading design by their own example - a public open day of architects' own houses on October 30.
The five houses included in this open day show how architects design homes for themselves. These houses nurture and inspire their occupants while engaging innovatively with the important issues of our time – affordability, urban density, new technologies, sustainability, changing lifestyle expectations and family models.
The tour will include:
1. Walsh Street (1959), Robin Boyd
2. Kenny House (1975), John Kenny
3. Polygreen (2007), Bellemo & Catt
4. Cloud Chamber (2008), David Luck
5. B House (2011), Clare Cousins
The houses will be open between 10am-4pm Sunday 30th Oct 2011. This is a ticketed event. All tickets must be pre-purchased and will not be available for sale on the day.
