Ravenswood, Lorne

After considering a recommendation and the submissions and conducting a hearing into those submissions, pursuant to Section 42(1)(c) the Heritage Council has determined that 'Ravenswood' is not of cultural heritage significance and does not warrant inclusion in the Heritage Register.

Ranelagh Estate, Mt Eliza

After considering a recommendation and submissions and conducting a hearing into those submissions, pursuant to Section 42(1)(d)(i) the Heritage Council has refused to amend the Ranelagh Estate registration (H1605) and refers the recommendation and submissions to the Mornington Peninsula Shire Council for consideration for an amendment to the Mornington Peninsula Planning Scheme.

Werribee Racecourse, Werribee

After considering a recommendation and the submissions and conducting a hearing into those submissions, pursuant to Section 42(1)(c) the Heritage Council has determined that the Werribee Racecourse does not warrant inclusion in the Heritage Register.

Palais Theatre, St Kilda

The Heritage Council has considered the Executive Director's recommendation to amend an item on the Heritage Register and the submissions lodged in relation to the recommendation.

In accordance with s.42 of the Heritage Act 1995, the Heritage Council has determined to amend item H0947 Palais Theatre on the Heritage Register by:

  • Modifying the extent of registration to include (1) All of the land marked L1 on Diagram 947 held by the Executive Director, being part of Crown Allotment 2002 at St Kilda Parish of Melbourne South; (2) All the building B1 marked on Diagram 947 held by the Executive Director; and (3) The objects known as the William Bedford Light Fittings.

  • Adopting a revised Statement of Significance for H0947 Palais Theatre.

  • Amending the permit policy and adopting classes of works and activities which may be undertaken without a permit under Part 4 of the Act.

Church Precinct, Former Baptist Church, St Peter's Catholic Church & Presbytery, Wesleyan Methodist Church & Chapel, Christ Church Anglican Church and Former St Andrew's Presbyterian Church & Manse, Daylesford

The Heritage Council does not have power under Section 42 of the Heritage Act 1995 to make a determination as to whether or not the above places should be included in the Heritage Register.

Oakleigh Motel, Oakleigh East

After considering a recommendation and the submissions and conducting a hearing into those submissions, pursuant to Section 42(1) (b) (i) the Heritage Council has determined that the Oakleigh Motel is of cultural heritage significance and should be included in the Heritage Register.

A revised Statement of Significance has been included in the report.
