About grants at DPCD

The Department of Planning and Community Development (DPCD) works with local communities throughout Victoria and administers a number of grant programs. The grants provided are based on three features of strong communities that we are working to enhance:

Planning

This approach recognises that sound planning, consultation, partnership development, governance and management arrangements underpin lasting community strengthening.

Strengthening communities

This is a way of supporting organisations, networks and partnerships to implement projects that advance the interests of their communities.

Building community infrastructure

This approach supports the development of new facilities and making better use of existing facilities to meet community needs or respond to changing needs as communities grow over time.
