Our structure

The Department of Planning and Community Development (DPCD) is structured around six organisational groups that work together to deliver the Victorian Government's priorities.

The Secretary of the Department of Planning and Community Development is Andrew Tongue.

Recent machinery of government changes

The following offices and programs recently transitioned out of DPCD as a result of machinery of government changes at the request of the government.

Groups moved to the Department of Human Services:

• Office for Youth
• Office of Women’s Policy
• Office of Disability
• Neighbourhood Houses
• Community programs for disadvantaged Victorians:
  - Community Renewal
  - Micro Finance Hubs
  - Men’s Sheds
  - Men Building Bridges bushfire recovery program.
  

Moved to the Department of Health:

• Office of Seniors
  

Moved to the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development:

• Adult Community and Further Education.
  

Moved to the Department of Treasury and Finance:

• Community Support Fund administration.
