Melbourne atlas 2006 - Working

Icon: Working
Melbourne has seen significant changes in employment over the last 30 years. Since the mid 1990s Melbourne’s employment growth has been faster than population growth, with job losses in manufacturing have been offset by growth in service jobs. While financial, business and property services have concentrated in the inner city, service and manufacturing jobs have moved outwards. Read Working to find out more about the changing locations of jobs and workers in Melbourne, how workers and freight move around the city, and changes to working arrangements.
