2011 Census Products

Greater Geelong Social Atlas

To be released in April 2013

The Social Atlas map series are based on the 2011 Census first and second data releases. The map series is based on the Social Atlas product the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) released in 2006.

The maps provide a pictorial representation of key themes from the 2011 Census in the form of thematic maps at the SA1 level. Themes covered include population, cultural diversity, labour force, families and households, income, education and dwellings.

This product was first released based on the metropolitan Melbourne area. The product will soon be expanded to include a map series for the Greater Geelong area.

Victorian Population Bulletin - Annual & Special Edition

To be released in mid and late 2013

The Victorian Population Bulletin provides information on population change and the basic drivers behind that change. The 2013 Annual Victorian Population Bulletin will be released in mid-2013, while the 2013 Special Edition of the Victorian Population Bulletin (using 2011 Census data) will be released following the Australian Bureau of Statistics data release in August 2013.

The bulletin is an excellent source of straight facts and information based on regions in Victoria.

The Victoria in Future projections are the official population and household projections of the Victorian Government. The projections will be updated using the 2011 Census data.
