Towns in Time

Towns in Time data is based on 2006 town boundaries, and previous census data is concorded to these boundaries. Previous versions of Towns in Time, which were based on older town boundaries, have therefore been superseded by this release.

Data sheets

Large Towns have a population greater than 500 persons
Small Towns have a population of between 200 and 500 persons
Towns with a population of less than 200 persons
Rural Balances cover the area of a municipality outside town boundaries

2001 Towns in Time – Analysis

The Towns in Time 2001 – Analysis report covers a range of topics including trends and influences on population change in Victorian towns between 1981 and 2001.
