Getting Aboriginal Victorians on Board

Governance trainingAboriginal Affairs Victoria encourages you to apply for one of ten scholarships being offered through a new partnership between the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Victorian Government.

The scholarship will meet the full cost of the Australian Institute of Company Directors course and materials, valued at more than $8,200 as well as transport, accommodation and meals for participants who may be attending the course from regional Victoria.

This initiative is part of Victorian Government's Aboriginal Economic Development package announced in mid 2010.  

About the Company Directors Course

The Company Directors Course is internationally recognised, and provides a comprehensive and credible learning program for directors. It includes coverage of the duties and responsibilities of being a director, as well as improving personal and organisational performance. 

The course will provide participants with the skills and confidence needed to become an effective director of a board. 

The course will be held in Melbourne in May and June 2011.

How do I apply?

Complete the Expression of Interest (EOI) form (Word 56 Kb) by Friday 4 March 2011
