Victorian Indigenous Funding Agreement
Victorian Government agencies and departments are changing the way we work to reduce the administrative burden associated with funding. We recognise that we can support Indigenous organisations to have more time to focus on service delivery by using standard terms and conditions, common templates and a more consistent approach to funding administration.
Victorian Government departments and agencies that provide funding to Indigenous organisations will start using the standard terms and conditions of the Victorian Indigenous Funding Agreement (VIFA) (PDF 162 kb) for funding to Indigenous organisations. This should make it easier for your Board and managers to understand the government expectations for managing funding.
Departments will also begin to use the processes and forms outlined in the Guide to the Victorian Indigenous Funding Agreements. Like the funding agreement itself a guide has been developed in consultation with Indigenous community organisations. It provides step-by-step advice on the new funding agreement including common scenarios and where to find more information.
