National Competition Policy Compliance 2010-11
Councils are required to report on compliance with National Competition Policy requirements by completing a template and including it in their Annual Reports, certifying their compliance with NCP principles.
National Competition Policy and Local Government (July 2011)
The 2011 National Competition Policy and Local Government: A Revised Statement of Victorian Government Policy is available for councils and other stakeholders.
Previously issued in 1996, 2002 and 2008, the 2011 Statement confirms Victorian local governments' continued obligation to comply with National Competition Policy (NCP) principles. The 2011 Statement is the product of a collaborative effort between the Department of Treasury and Finance and Local Government Victoria.
