Green Light Plan
Funding for the Green Light Plan has been realigned to match the Victorian Government’s current environmental and economic priorities. The Government will monitor the impact of the federal carbon price mechanism, which is due to be introduced on 1 July 2012, to assess the impact on the price of providing street lighting services.
Local Government Victoria will continue to work through regulatory issues faced by the sector which relate to their requirements to market test services and works under section 186 of the Local Government Act.
