Best Practice Guideline
The Local Government Procurement Best Practice Guideline (PDF 173KB) or (Word 576KB) assists Victorian councils to better understand their obligations under the Local Government Act 1989 and to prepare for and undertake good practice procurement.
In 2011 LGV committed to undertake a review of the Victorian Local Government Procurement Best Practice Guidelines. A revised set of guidelines are being developed following an extensive consultation with the sector, and other relevant stakeholders, on the current guidelines.
The revised guidelines will be available for industry feedback at the end of April 2012. (Please note that the release of the updated guideline has been delayed to enable a thorough review of the extensive range of submissions received to ensure that the revised guidelines meet industry expectations.)
