A Guide to Delivering Community Precincts

In a project jointly funded by the Department of Planning and Community Development (through the Community Development Group and Local Government Victoria) and the Growth Areas Authority, a collection of guides were developed to support the development of integrated community infrastructure across Victoria.

Developed in extensive consultation with community, government and private sector representatives, the two guides below provide a complementary framework that brings together good practice, Victorian case studies, tools and checklists in a user-friendly format.

A Guide to Delivering Community Precincts guides users through the seven phases of planning and delivering community precincts and facilities. It has been designed to provide practical tools and guiding principles based on sound practice and expertise in the field to assist in bringing multipurpose community precinct projects to fruition.

A Guide to Governing Shared Community Facilities

A Guide to Governing Shared Community Facilities provides insight and detailed guidance into the governing of shared community facilities. It provides practical information about governance generally, and the tools and documents needed to support good governance. It recognises the complexity of developing a model for operating shared community facilities, and aims to inform decision making and assist in the development of clear, well-considered governance tools.
