Local Government in Victoria brings together information from councils' annual reports to provide a snapshot of the current position of the sector. The report focuses on key performance indicators for local government which have been agreed by the Victorian Government and councils. Time series spreadsheets of the indicators for individual councils are available.

Annual Community Satisfaction Survey
Local Government Victoria (LGV) coordinates the release of participating councils’ annual community satisfaction survey results. The Community Satisfaction Survey provides participating councils with information about how their performance is rated by the communities they represent. The survey is conducted independently by Wallis Consulting, and is coordinated by LGV.The vast majority of Victoria’s councils participate in the survey, which offers a valuable benchmarking tool for measuring council performance. The trend in overall council performance since the survey’s inception in 1998 has been positive. Town planning, economic development, and local roads and footpaths continue to be the key drivers of community satisfaction

It contains demographic information on each local government area in Victoria as well as contact information, links to websites and much more. It is the most visited page on this site and it has recently been upgraded to include more information.
