Inquiry/Panel Hearings
The Minister for Planning has established an Inquiry under the Environment Effects Act 1978 to consider the Lonsdale Golf Course Redevelopment project in accordance with the Terms of Reference.
The Inquiry members are:
- Mark Marsden (Chair)
- Alan Thatcher
- Helen Weston
The same members were also appointed as a Panel under the Planning and Environment Act 1987 to allow the Inquiry to consider the Amendment (C67) and the Permit Application (1313/2009).

Exhibition of EES
The Environment Effects Statement (EES) for the Lonsdale Golf Course Redevelopment, together with Amendment C67 to the Greater Geelong Planning Scheme and the Planning Permit Application (No. 1313/2009), were released for public comment from 18 August to 3 October 2011. 167 submissions were received.
Copies of public submissions will be made available for any person to inspect upon request by appointment at:
- City of Greater Geelong, Ground Floor, 131 Myers Street, Geelong; or
- Planning Panels Victoria, Level 1, 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne (phone 9637 9690 before your visit to arrange access).

Project History
On 16th May 2003, the Minister for Planning determined that an EES was required.

Project Description
Lonsdale Golf Club Inc. has proposed a major redevelopment of the golf course and associated facilities at Fellows Road, Point Lonsdale, to provide:
- extension of the golf course on the current site and adjoining rural land to provide new golf holes, maintenance facilities, water storage basins, and irrigation system, and
- subdivision of a section of the existing golf course into approximately 100 residential allotments.
