Decision on Lara rezoning request
02 Dec 2011Minister for Planning Matthew Guy has declined Geelong City Council’s request to rezone land along Caddys Road, Lara from Rural Living Zone to Residential 1 Zone to Residential 1 Zone.
Mr Guy said the proposal to rezone the land directly to the south of the Serendip Sanctuary was inconsistent with the overwhelming community interest and there are several other development options provided for in the Lara Structure Plan.
