New State Planning Policy Framework introduced
21 Sep 2010A new revised State Planning Policy Framework (SPPF) is now in operation. The SPPF has been modernised with new themes and a new structure.
The Revised Policy Framework
Amendment VC71 introduces a revised State Planning Policy Framework (SPPF) into the Victoria Planning Provisions and all planning schemes on 20 September 2010. The amendment also introduces new state planning policies that give expression to the adopted government policies, The Victorian Housing Strategy and Melbourne @ 5 Million. It amends Clause 52.02 Easement, Restriction and Reserves and introduces a new Clause 52.46 Brothels as consequential changes to the SPPF review.
Two advisory notes explain the changes:

- Advisory Note 31: Amendment VC71 (PDF - 163 KB)
You can view the new SPPF clauses at Victoria Planning Provisions Online (Clauses 10 to 19).
