Urban Development Program
The Urban Development Program aims to ensure there is sufficient residential and industrial land both in metropolitan Melbourne and other key areas across regional Victoria to meet expected population growth, ensure a competitive land market, and reduce pressure on housing affordability.
This is achieved through analysis and regular reporting of the supply and demand for residential and industrial land.
The UDP is structured around a series of activities designed to actively engage developers, local Councils and infrastructure and service providers.
