Yarra River Planning

122 Harrison Cres Yarraville
The Yarra River environs contain some of the most valuable landscape, flora, fauna, geological and geomorphological assets in metropolitan Melbourne. Remnant vegetation provide habitat for native fauna. The area provides open space for recreational activities and is a favourite place for walking and cycling.

Ongoing effort is required to reduce the potentially destructive environmental impacts of urban development - including weed invasion, litter, pollution and overuse of recreational areas - and to protect valuable landscapes from inappropriate development.
