PN06: Timber production in the Rural Zone (PDF - 83 KB)
This practice note provides guidance to planning authorities about the preparation of a schedule to the Rural Zone as it relates to timber production. In particular, the Practice Note deals with the issue of road damage during harvesting operations.

Coastal

Green wedge

This practice note guides the preparation of Green Wedge Management Plans and sets out general requirements that should be met. It covers the policy context, status and content of the plans, involvement of stakeholders and acknowledges the variations in green wedge areas.

PN25: Authorisation to prepare planning scheme amendments affecting the Urban Growth Boundary and green wedge land Jun 2003 (PDF - 40 KB)
The Planning and Environment Act 1987 requires a planning authority to obtain authorisation from the Minister for Planning to prepare an amendment that affects and Urban Growth Boundary or green wedge land in metropolitan fringe planning schemes. This practice note sets out information the Minister will require to consider a request for such authorisation and matters the Minister will consider in deciding the request.
