This page explains how to register for a PLANET course, common issues and questions and the cancellation and refund policy.

Register and book a course
All PLANET course bookings are made using the Online Registration System.
1. Create a user account in the PLANET on-line training environment.
2. Once logged in you can browse courses, select training dates and fill in payment details.

Note: You will receive your user name almost instantly via email; it will take approximately 30 minutes for your account to become active.

Payment information
- Credit card payments are no longer accepted. EFT payments are accepted.
- If paying by cheque make payable to the Department of Planning and Community Development and post to Level 15, 1 Spring Street, Melbourne 3000.

PLANET cancellation and refund policy
Sometimes a PLANET course may have to be cancelled or changed with little or no notice.
1. If you need to cancel your attendance at a course:
- Notice of cancellation must be given a full 48 hours prior to the course commencing to be eligible for a full refund.
- If cancellation is made less than 48 hours prior to the course commencing, 50% of the course fee will be charged.
- No refunds are given where parties do not attend a seminar without prior notice.

Registration

I can’t remember my Password.
Use the Reset password link on the side menu and follow the prompts or contact PLANET Administrator for assistance.

I have created a user account but can’t log in.
It may take up to 30 minutes for the system to activate your account, give it some time and try to log in again.

I receive an error message when accessing the Planet Online Reservations page.
This may be caused by your version of Internet Explorer. Click on the "Continue to this website (not recommended)" link to take you "safely" to the Planet Online Reservations page.

Can I make a training request for someone else?
If a Manager or HR representative is looking after training for your department, they will need to either create an account for you or have a copy of your username and password to log in and book training on your behalf.

Can I still access my training records if I change employer?
Yes, you will be required to update your contact details.
Payment

Can I change my method of payment?
Once you have booked training you will be required to fill in appropriate fields indicating how payment will be made. This can be amended if the payment method changes.

How do I make multiple payments?
On payment remittance, specify the names and corresponding courses so that we can allocate your funds accordingly.

Is catering provided?
Unless specified otherwise, all catering will be provided.
Cancellation

If I cancel at short notice can some one take my place?
Yes, but our records of your training may be compromised. If time permits your replacement should make an official registration.
