Implementation

The recommendations will be implemented in stages.

Stage 1: Amendment VC49 to the VPP and planning schemes included the first round of change to the advertising provisions, with other recommendations requiring further work and consultation.

Stage 2: The Department is investigating the implementation of a second stage of changes including:
  • revised signage definitions and terms
  • revised sign category tables to implement the new sign definitions
  • new provision or policy to give clearer state wide basis for decision making.
The Victoria Planning Provisions will be changed to reflect the results of the investigation.
