Review of signage provisions
The Ministerial Advisory Committee appointed to review the signage provisions in Clause 52.05 of the Victoria Planning Provisions (VPP) concluded their review with a findings and recommendations report to the Minister for Planning.
Implementation
The Department identified short and longer term changes to the signage provisions.
Amendment VC45 to the VPP and planning schemes introduced new provisions for electronic billboard signage and made VicRoads a referral authority for animated or electronic signs near major roads.
Amendment VC49 to the VPP and planning schemes introduced new decision guidelines and application requirements in the signage provisions and extension of time requirements for major promotion signs.
