Central City and Design Advice
The Department provides urban design advice and support to local government and various other agencies for planning and development projects in the inner Melbourne Area, particularly where the Minister for Planning is the Responsible Authority.
Metropolitan and Regional Advice
The Department provides urban design advice and support to regional offices and local government for a range of development projects and planning permit applications or amendments.
Northbank Promenade Development
The Department is leading this project to improve walking and cycling access and public amenity along the northbank promenade.
3D Built Form Modelling
The Department has acquired a 3D software model to assist in providing urban design advice for development proposals and key projects in Melbourne.
