2012/2013 Community Facility Funding Program now open
20 Jul 2011The program was officially launched on 8 July 2011 by the Minister for Sport and Recreation Hugh Delahunty at Princes Park, Maryborough.
The Community Facility Funding Program (CFFP) helps to build, upgrade and develop community sport and recreation facilities throughout Victoria. The program focuses on increasing participation, ensuring access for all and actively encourages the collaboration of shared and multi-use facilities.
Opening the program, Minister Delahunty said, ‘we’ve taken a good look at where extra support is needed to alleviate some of the demand and financial pressures being faced by councils and communities. That’s why...I’m announcing an increase in the maximum grant amounts through the CFFP so that we can, in partnership with councils, continue providing excellent sporting facilities that cater for more Victorians.’
Changes to available grant amounts include:
- Minors Facilities maximum grant is increased from $60,000 to $100,000
- Major Facilities maximum grant is increased from $500,000 to $650,000
- Better Pools maximum grant is increased from $2.5 million to $3 million; and
- Regional Planning maximum grant is now $50,000, previously $30,000.
Councils are encouraged to apply to the program. Community organisations have the opportunity to submit Expressions of Interest to their local council.
Closing dates, guidelines and application forms are available on the Community Facility Funding Program grant information page.
