Stage One of Seymour Vietnam Veterans’ Walk Unveiled
01 Apr 2011A new community project paying tribute to the 60,000 men and women who served in Australia’s longest war, the Vietnam War, is underway in Seymour.
The recent completion of the cairn and Luscombe Bowl at Seymour’s new Vietnam Veterans Commemorative Walk marks just the first stage in this innovative local project.
Second stage works include the establishment of a memorial wall and walk surrounded by rubber trees and military artefacts from the Vietnam conflict period.
The Victorian Government has committed $1.2 million towards completing stage two of this innovative development coordinated by Shire of Mitchell and the Mitchell Sub Branch of the Vietnam Veterans Association of Australia. Back to News
