Voices From the War

‘In Our Words’ has just finished collecting stories from St Arnaud veterans, and will be travelling to Wodonga to do the same as the project approaches its final year.

Veteran at keyboard with headphones, creating a digital storyTen veterans from the St Arnaud RSL gave their time and experience to work with local school students from the St Arnaud Secondary College to have their stories collected in June.

An additional 10 stories from Melbourne based veterans are currently in production, and feature 6 stories from members of the Korean Veterans Association.

The Wodonga Veterans Information Centre is currently preparing to bring the project to Wodonga in October 2011. Any veterans in the Wodonga community should contact the Information Centre to find out how to become involved.

For Melbourne based veterans, opportunities to be involved are currently scheduled for December 2011 (7th, 8th and 9th). Email inourwords@dpcd.vic.gov.au to register your interest in participating.

Note, all workshops run for 3 days and veterans are required to attend for all 3. Lunch is provided.
