group of soldiersOver 110,000 Victorians enlisted to serve in World War I. They served across all Australian military units: air force, artillery, cavalry, infantry, naval, transport and services (medical, military police and specialist corps).

Between 1914 and 1918 around 30 units were raised in Victoria to serve overseas. DPCD in partnership with the State Library of Victoria has digitised the histories of these Victorian units.

A complete list of all military units of the First Australian Imperial Force (AIF) can be found on the Australian War Memorial website.
