Community Support Fund
The Community Support Fund (CSF) was established by the Victorian Government to direct a portion of gaming revenue back to the community.
Taxes on gaming machines in Victorian hotels contribute more than $100 million each year to the Fund.
The government's priorities for the Community Support Fund during the 2010-2014 period will be:
- addressing problem gambling risk factors - such as social disadvantage, isolation and the presence of psychological distress and disorder: and
- building stronger communities - especially in places experiencing rapid population growth and/or places with entrenched disadvantage, by investing in community facilities, supporting community participation and facilitating greater community connectedness.
Funds from the Community Support Fund support a range of programs, which in turn support a wide variety of projects in the community.
