Business and community partnerships
Business can play a crucial role in tackling disadvantage in local communities and make a real difference in the lives of disadvantaged Victorians by partnering with Government and community groups to work in the areas of most need. The Department is conducting business and roundtable discussions to better understand business needs and to inform businesses about social policy issues. Community enterprises
Community enterprises support the development of local approaches and initiatives to meet local needs and help to establish links between communities, business and government. DPCD encourages the creation of local employment, work experience and training opportunities that can be achieved through enterprise development. Find out more about community enterprise.
Grants and funding

Volunteers
Volunteers play a vital role in community strengthening. Business can provide active support to the almost two million Victorians who freely donate their skills, time, energy and experience to the community every year. Heritage
